Our Salmon Products are Seafood Trust Certified.

Our products now carry the SEAFOOD TRUST certification mark. This means that our salmon meets Certified Quality Salmon Standards (CQS) . These high standards have been developed by expert panels including all parts of the supply chain and attest to the quality of our product.

What is a Certified Quality Salmon?

Certified Quality Salmon from Heritage Salmon is traceable to stringent product quality specifications with regards to freshness, visual appearance, taste and texture. It also means our product has been produced and processed by a certified company that operates to highest industry standards with regards to food safety, fish welfare and superior quality. To maintain this certification we are engaged in two essential processes.

Audits by a third party certifier.

1) All Heritage Salmon operations from the hatcheries to processing and shipping are now subject to frequent, detailed and thorough audits by the world's foremost independent certification body - Global TRUST Ltd. Global TRUST Ltd is accredited by ISO 65 / EN45011. This accreditation is now recognized as an international benchmark for seafood product certification.

Global TRUST Ltd.

Global TRUST Ltd is an independent and accredited food certification body specializing in the seafood sector. Global TRUST Ltd certifies Quality Standards, Traceability Standards, and Eco-label Standards. Global TRUST Ltd's certification programs conform to EN45011/ISO65. Because ISO 65 is the international standard for bodies offering product certification, it is the instrument for trust in the Global TRUST Ltd certification programs.

Global TRUST Ltd's accredited certificates are recognized in over forty countries. Unlike some other certifiers, it is not owned or influenced by industry or industry proxies, markets, government, or non-governmental organizations. Global TRUST Ltd accreditation is based on standards that have been developed and are being implemented through a governance structure that meets internationally agreed and accepted requirements.
